With the message of love, unity and consciousness embedded in his music, St. Croix born Ras Attitude is a musical force to be reckoned with.

M. Goodwin “RAS ATTITUDE” was born on the “twin city “island of St. Croix, the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands to renowned gospel singer, Harrella Goodwin. He was raised in his grandmother’s church. At 7 years old he was introduced to the stage and by traveling with his mother and appearing on in several concerts, he was able to develop his musical skills by learning the play the keyboard, read musical notes, and harnessing his performance skills in becoming a consummate artist.

At the age of 16 years old while attending the Caribbean Community School, Ras Attitude started a LUNCH ROOM SESSION as a way to practice his craft. It became the place where students would come to show off their talent. Still in High school, Ras Attitude became a founding member of "Tek-9 Sounds” with some friends in the neighborhood. That move became his launching pad to the top.

In between sets and the sound system, Ras Attitude would do his own little show using rhythms from 45 Vinyl Records. Which was a success for him and encouraged him to pursue a career in music? After high school Ras Attitude went on to Becker College, where the name Attitude was given to him by Tippa Lee of the group "Tippa Lee & Rappa Roberts." While taking classes he was able to do little gigs at clubs, which gave him recognition on a small scale. During this time his path crossed a former artist known a Ras Batch. Batch previously plays in the band for Harrella Goodwin (Attitude's mom) who at the time was playing with "Motion Band." Upon meeting with Batch and voicing several tunes in the studio and together the two began the creation of SoundVizion Records.

His debut album “Happiness” in 2001 paved the way for this soulful roots reggae star. His harmonic sound is even more evident with follow up albums such as: “Love Life” in 2004 and “Holding Firm” in 2005. These albums included such hits as: "War to Win”, “All We Need is Love”, and “Wrath of Jah” featuring Batch.

With his magnetic personality and harmonic voice, this singer has been in demand worldwide. Even with his busy touring schedule in the United States and in Europe, this talented performer managed to deliver two more explosive albums which showcased his unique versatility and further proved his staying power in this industry—“Trodding Home” and "HOLD THE VIBES"
